How To Fix The Berkley Door Canopy

Brackets

  1. Position brackets at each side of door opening, ensuring that they are level and at the correct distance apart.
  2. Drill a hole at the bottom of the bracket, just under where the 2 parts meet. This will ensure that the screw passes through the timber block.
  3. Drill a second hole near the top of the bracket, below the horizontal section.
  4. Position bracket and mark wall for drilling. Drill and plug hole in wall.
  5. Fasten brackets to wall using screws and cover caps provided.

Base Section

  1. Drill flange at back of base (approximately 400mm centres) and also the flange at the back of the base uprights. Lift base onto brackets and centralise.
  2. Mark holes on wall, lift base unit down, then drill and plug wall. Fix base unit back in position.
  3. Screw up through bracket into timber insert in base to secure base unit to brackets.

Top Section

  1. On the simulated lead flashing upstand, mark holes at 400mm centres, starting 50mm from each end. Drill through upstand.
  2. Slide top section on to base unit and mark holes on wall. Lift down top section.
  3. Drill and plug holes in wall. Fit top section and fasten with screws and caps.
  4. Run a bead of clear silicone along the top of the lead effect flashing to prevent water ingress.
  5. Wash down your Berkley canopy with warm soapy water.

The Berkley door canopy is maintenance free and will only require an occasional wash with warm, soapy water to maintain its appearance. Do not use abrasives or solvent cleaners.
